It is a pity that I cannot write a beautiful poem for you
as all the words came to my mind cannot compare to the beauty in your paintings
the contrast in the color
the shining in the color
the bloomy in the color
the conception in the color
all of them
let me know what is a painting
I read the letters you wrote to your brother, Theo
in them
you expressed the true feelings inside of your heart
I can feel them
some worries
some fears
some uncertainties
however
the one touched me most is your determination
you said you will fight for your art until the end of your life
you said Theo can be pround of your art someday
you said you painted because it gave you peacefulness and enthusiasm
Your bravery encouraged me a lot
Though you are not in the world anymore
you are loved by people all around the world
Though you don’t know me
The spirit in your art bring me to stand in front of your paintings
I can’t help but cried how incredible they are
You made an art miracle
with your effort, persistence and beliefs
Any real reason caused you left the world?
If there was one
no one will blame it
You were alone
kept fighting until the last day
here I showed my sincere respect to you and your life
No matter how time changes
when I look up to the night sky
I assume you are one of the shining star
because you once said
“we can take death to go to a star”
Forgive my plain black and white words
I will honor you forever in my heart
Twinkling Twinkling star
Starry starry night
